Two Tones Digital is a software development business based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. We build desktop and web software for small businesses, including Renter Pro — a trailer rental management application.

Renter Pro — local data storage
Renter Pro is a local-first desktop application. All data you enter — customer records, trailer inventory, and booking information — is stored exclusively in a SQLite database file on your own machine. We do not have access to, transmit, or store your business data on any external server.
Software update checks
Renter Pro periodically contacts twotones.digital to check whether a newer version of the software is available. This request includes:
- Your current software version number
- Your licence key (to verify the request is from a licensed installation)
No customer records, booking data, or personally identifiable information is included in this request. The update check is the only network communication the application makes during normal use.
CSV import during initial setup
If you engage Two Tones Digital to assist with migrating existing customer data into Renter Pro, you may provide us with a CSV export of your customer records. This data is used solely to complete the one-time import into your local database. We do not retain your customer data on our systems after the migration is complete.
No analytics or third-party tracking in the app
Renter Pro does not include any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or third-party tracking of any kind. What happens on your machine stays on your machine.
This website (twotones.digital)
The twotones.digital website uses Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate page view data (pages visited, country, browser). No personally identifiable information is collected, and no cookies are used for tracking.
Your data rights
Because your business data never leaves your machine, you have complete control over it at all times. You can back up, export, or delete your data by managing the local database file directly, or by using the export tools within Renter Pro.
If you have questions about data handled by Two Tones Digital (for example, following a CSV import), please contact us and we will respond promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at twotones.digital/privacy. We will notify existing customers of material changes by email.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Where applicable, we comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and its associated regulations.
